DerMend Reviews - What Is It?

WARNING: DO NOT BUY DerMend Until You Read This Review!
Is it a Scam? Does It Really Work? Check Ingredients, Side Effects and More! Michael Young

DerMend is a new moisturizing anti-bruise cream. DerMend Moisturizing Bruise Formula targets bruised skin promising to improve its look with the help of ceramides and arnica oil contained in it. The formula also claims to rejuvenate the skin and restore its natural barrier. We will see whether the product really performs these functions by looking at its active ingredients further in this review. It has its own official website where you can find little information on the ingredients of the product, though. It does not even give an address of the headquarters. If you have immediate questions, you can call Customer Service. But if you have more common inquiries, you can use the form given on the official website. You will need to enter your name, e-mail and the comment itself.

DerMend is said to be recommended by dermatologists, however, there is supposition that the two doctors giving their positive recommendations online have just been paid. The manufacturer is not reputable and is badly known, that is why it cannot be trusted completely. Another product of the company is DerMend Alpha + Beta Hydroxy Therapy which promises to rejuvenate the natural barrier of the skin and remove damaged cells by its combination of skin-replenishing ceramides.

Ingredients of DerMend - Does It Really Work? Is It a Scam?

DerMend is available in the form of lotion and promises to improve the way your bruised skin looks. Human skin becomes easy to bruise due to the natural aging, medications, sun exposure and some other factors. The skin becomes thin and lacks a fatty layer for proper protection. As a result, it can be easily bruised. Let us have a closer look at the main ingredients in DerMend Moisturizing Bruise Formula.

DerMend

Retinol is responsible for renewing and rejuvenating the appearance of the skin. It is said to be able to smoothen wrinkles and fine lines, improve skin texture and decrease mottled pigmentation, however, there is no enough scientific evidence that this compound works safely. Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) is another basic component in the lotion. In fact, it is a synthetic acid version derived from fruits. This is an exfoliant that is used to remove the upper skin layer and improve the growth of new skin. The only disadvantage of this component is that it can easily cause allergic reactions on the skin. So, you should be careful when using this product.

Arnica Oil comes from the sunflower family (Arnica montana flower) and claims to improve the appearance of damaged skin but it is unknown exactly how it works and whether it can really restore the suppleness of the skin. Ceramides are generally lipids that work to restore the skin's protective barrier and to protect the surface cells from outer negative impact. These component also promise to help retain moisture in the skin and repair it in the case of damage. Without ceramides, skin becomes fragile.

Another compound in the formula is Niacinamide (or niacin), another variant of Vitamin B3. The latter possesses antioxidant properties which can be beneficial for the skin appearance, however, this component can lead to side effects when used in high doses. No one knows for sure how much of this ingredient can be found in DerMend. Another ingredient is Phytonadione, also known as Vitamin K. This vitamin also helps to improve the look of discolored skin.

The complete list of ingredients in the formula includes: Purified Water, Glycolic Acid, Propanediol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymers, Propylene Glycol, Saccharide Isomerate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Glycerin, Ceramide NP, Ceramide EOS, Ceramide NS, Ceramide EOP, Retinol, Ceramide AP, Niacinamide, Polygonatum Multiflorum Extract, Cupressus Sempervirens Seed Extract, Cholesterol, Caprooyl Sphingosine, Caprooyl Phytosphingosine, Behenic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Ammonium Glycolate, C13 and 14 Isoparaffin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Laureth, Coco-Glucosides, Tocopherol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Palmitoyl Glycine, Phytonadione, Butylene Glycol, Cimicifuga Racemosa Root Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Polysorbate, Hydroxyphenyl Propamidobenzoic Acid, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Sterols, Disodium EDTA, Stearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Polyacrylamide, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fluorphlogopite, Titanium Dioxide, Ceteareth.

As you can see, DerMend contains a big number of chemical ingredients which can be harmful for human health and become the cause for unpleasant side effects and adverse reactions. Let us have a look at these risks.

Customer Reviews - Does It Have Any Side Effects?

The manufacturer of DerMend does not mention any adverse side effects or allergic reactions. It means that the company tries to colceal the bad truth about this lotion. It is unnatural, does not solve all the skin problems and potentially carries dangers with its unnatural components. The official website only mentions the sunburn alert saying that the lotion contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which can make your skin even more sensitive to the sun. thus it can be easily sunburnt. For this reason, it is recommended to use a sunscreen, limit sun exposure and wear protective clothing when using DerMend.

As it is an emollient it can cause a number of common side effects including redness, stinging, burning, and irritation. If you suffer from any of these effects, inform your doctor promptly. It is highly recommended to ask for medical help immediately in case of serious side effects which include unusual changes in the skin (turning soft, white, soggy or wet), signs of skin infection. Seldom, users may experience a very serious allergic reaction the symptoms of which include severe dizziness, itching, rash, swelling, trouble breathing. You are not protected from experiencing the side effects which are not mentioned in this list.

There is a number of precautions for you to take before using DerMend. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you have any other allergies, if you have any of the following conditions: skin infections, cuts or sores. Let us have a look at some of the real users' reviews about this product.

"My arms are easy to bruise. I could not hide my terrible arms under long sleeves any more, so I decided to try DerMend because I believed the advertisement online. Unfortunately, I didn't notice any difference using this product. Waste of money!"

"Dermend did not help me to cope with my excessive bruising. I used it for about a week but I still don't see any results. I cannot recommend this lotion to usage."

"Der Mend did not only fail to lighten my bruises but it caused a severe allergic reaction on my arms. The skin became very red just in a few minutes after I applied this product to the skin. I washes my arms with warm water and soap but I still feel itching."

Where To Buy DerMend?

DerMend Moisturizing Bruise Formula is available at the following retailers: CVS, Walmart, Rite Aid, GNC, Walgreens, Lovely Skin. The cost may vary from site to site. Amazon sells it for $21.12.

My Final Summary

I don't think that DerMend is the best option to fight bruising as it has many disadvantages. There is high risk of experiencing allergic reactions and side effects. The product is very expensive taking into account its low effectiveness and high risk of side effects. I cannot recommend this product to usage. You should look for a safer option.

Affordable Alternative

Many doctors consider that the problem can be well solved by another product known as Skinception Rosacea Relief Serum. I completely agree with them because I study many products of the kind! I recommend you reading my review about Skinception Rosacea Relief Serum. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
