Curology Reviews - What Is It?

WARNING: DO NOT BUY Curology Until You Read This Review!
Is it a Scam? Does It Really Work? Check Ingredients, Side Effects and More! Michael Young

Curology is a new company that offers a collection of skincare products that claim to treat both acne and signs of aging on your skin. They promise to use only prescription ingredients in a personalized formula specifically for you depending on your medical photos, history, and skin goals. Each formula contains three active ingredients specially selected for your skin type and condition. If you suffer from acne, Curology offers prescription treatments that promise to eliminate 90 of acne, unlike 30 percent removed by drugstore products. This formula may include clindamycin, azelaic acid, niacinamide, zinc pyrithione, and tretinoin. People with clogged pores are also claimed to get help, as Curology blends are said to relieve these drawbacks, as well as plugs due to the topical prescription acne treatment - a mix of tretinoin, azelaic acid, niacinamide, clindamycin, and zinc pyrithione.

Curlology claims to help people with dark spots. Their formula provides sun protection due to such ingredients as niacinamide, azelaic acid, and tretinoin. According to the official website of the company, an independent clinical study demonstrated a 38% increase in skin firmness due to the use of their custom formula within eight weeks. It contains vitamin C and tretinoin. Firmness and texture are provided by Curology formula that includes tretinoin. This ingredient is said to improve skin glow, regenerate skin cells, and smooth your skin. Wrinkles are not a problem too. Such active ingredients in the formula se tretinoin and vitamin C can cope with this issue too. As you can see, the company makes very loud promises. But do those ingredients really work? They seem to be the same in different formulae. Let's take a closer look at these substances.

Ingredients of Curology - Does It Really Work? Is It a Scam?

The official website of the company does not provide too much information about the ingredients used in their products. The most frequently mentioned component is tretinoin. It is said to be found in almost all products of the company. It promises to fight acne, aging signs of the skin, improve the color and texture of your face, as well as boost its firmness. Other ingredients contained in Curology products include Vitamin C that is responsible for the even surface and color of the skin, azelaic acid and niacinamide which claim to fight dark spots. No other ingredients are mentioned on the official website of the company.

However, the site says that instead of an in-office visit you may describe your skin issues taking a questionnaire. The company does not give an opportunity to meet a dermatologist face-to-face. However, signing up is not a fast process. We have broken the procedure into several sections below. First, you will need to share your skin goals on site. You will be asked in the questionnaire to choose the aspects of your complexion, including those that need treatment. You can choose as many aspects as you wish. Since the formulas are blended with three active ingredients, we decided that it would be right to limit our selection to three: firmness, clogged pores, and skin texture.

Then you will be asked to choose your skin type. This may seem to be quite straightforward, but then you will find out that there are no descriptions to guide you in your selection, such as oily, normal or dry skin, an oily t-zone and dry cheeks. After that you will be given an opportunity to specify which areas of your skin are of concern, including your neck, face, shoulders, chest, back or other. You can choose as many areas as you need. Then you will be asked to answer such questions as how many pimples did you get within the last week, what kind of sunscreen you wear or any other forms of SPF, as well as what level of SPF you prefer to use.

Customer Reviews - Does It Have Any Side Effects?

As a matter of fact, the manufacturer does not mention any possible side effects or allergic reactions associated with the use of Curology products. However, they do exist, taking into account many negative customer reviews in which people share their experience. They say that they have experienced skin irritation, redness, burning and itching. Curology, earlier known as PocketDerm, offers testimonials about positive skin changes in customers; however, they cannot be trusted completely. The Reddit user stated that her acne has considerably reduced in just three months. She also listed all the major ingredients in her personalized formula: 4% Niacinamide, 4% Azelaic Acid and 1% Clindamycin. Later, it changed to 1% Clindamycin, 0.018% Tretinoin, 8% Azelaic Acid. This seemed to be strange, but, actually, the PocketDerm company has changed not only their products but also their promotional offers and name.

It would be more objective to take a look at the customer reviews on other websites on the Internet. One guy writes that he suffered from painful hormonal cysts on his face. This was the reason why the man tried Rx that included spironolactone (75 mg daily at night) with 4% niacinamide, 4% azelaic acid and 1% clindamycin. The user was not satisfied with the product saying that it didn't help him to get rid of the cysts. Another customer tried Curology for 3 months and had his skin issues even worsened. He went through five different formulas and each of these formulas made his face break out even more. The formulae did nothing to his enlarged pores and his existing issues, but only created new ones. As a result, the man requested a full refund for each of the products. Let us take a look at the other customer reviews left online.

"Curology is the worst anti-acne product I have ever tried! Do not buy it! This product doesn't work. Don't even waste your money on it! I contacted their customer service for help but I didn't receive it. The website clearly says that if you try their product and it doesn't work, you can get a refund. But when I asked for it I got the run around. I do not recommend this company to anyone"

"I was expecting good results with curology skincare products, since many of their customer reviews said "oh my god, it's a miracle!" I was amazed with all of these pictures posted up and high ratings. I decided to get the trial version but my face got even worse. I suppose that they trick their clients with sponsoring their ads. The serum made my face worse with break outs that hurt a lot. Now I look worse than before"

"Curology worked at first and I was impressed but then I realized that they supplement their prescription with more products. Thus, it seems like it is working, but mainly due to the other stuff you are buying. Besides, I stuck a Q-tip into my bottle and understood that I was tricked. The real bottom should not be even an inch from the bottle top. I would not recommend this product to my friends"

Where To Buy Curology?

Curology membership costs $20 each month. It includes a 90-day supply of your customized skincare formula. If you run out of your formula before 90 days, you can request an earlier shipment. In this way, the membership is almost $240 per year. If you're not satisfied with your formula, you can ask for a full refund within the first 90 days by emailing their customer service. You will not find it on Amazon, GNC or Walmart.

My Final Summary

Considering a lot of negative customer reviews we found for Curology skincare products, we don't feel that these will bring relief to your skin issues. All of their anti-acne and anti-aging treatments appear to contain the same ingredients? If you have clogged pores, signs of skin aging or acne, I would not recommend Curology products. The modern market is full of many other more effective products for these treatments.

Affordable Alternative

Many doctors consider that the problem can be well solved by another product known as Skinception Rosacea Relief Serum. I completely agree with them because I study many products of the kind! I recommend you reading my review about Skinception Rosacea Relief Serum. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
